Jake's Visit

As Jake was planning a Memorial Weekend trip to New York he had the idea to stop off in Boulder for a day. Yes....one day. So, we all took off on Thursday and spent the day in Rocky Mountain National Park. We woke in the morning trying to decide whether to go biking, hiking, rafting, or skiing and skiing won out. When we arrived at RMNP(Rocky Mountain National Park) everyone who saw us with skis was asking where we would ski. Our answer was simple, "where there is snow." We ended up hiking to Emerald lake where Keith and Josh hiked up a couloir to get in some turns. Seeing as how the terrain was not beginner I ended up carrying my skis around all day and never even putting the on. Oh, well. We had a wonderful time hiking around and hanging out. We ended the evening with yummy Ethiopian food followed by Dairy Queen. Jake left first thing on Friday morning and I still can't believe he was actually here.

Proof that Jake was in Boulder.

Me at Emerald Lake.

carrying around the skis can be called "training" for your next epic adventure.
