Visitors

After 2 years of failed attempts to visit with my aunt Karen we finally ended up spending nearly 2 weeks together! She and her husband Paul came to Colorado for a week beginning on June 9. I took both Friday and Monday off soooo we were able to enjoy a long 4 day weekend together. We went hiking, to the farmer's market, biked around Boulder, ate at some funky restaurants, went to a Police concert, spent 2 days rafting the Arkansas and went camping. It was wonderful. After they left Boulder on Wednesday night I flew to Charleston, SC (where they live) on Friday to work at the AVP tournament for Crocs. How perfect was that? So I just spent the weekend back in the South and I have to admit...it felt good to be home. I am connected to the south in a way that I cannot explain. We took their boat out on Saturday night and I went for a long run on the beach Sunday morning. It was sooo incredible. I just wish I could have stayed a little longer and that some of my family could have made the trip down for a visit.
