Sometimes I'm amazed at how much time passes between blog posts. When this happens I have to try to fit everything from the past few weeks into one posting. Not always easy. For the past few weekends I've been testing my knee out with various activities. First was the hike up Bear Peak on Cota's birthday. Next, Josh and I decided to climb Seal Rock which we have the pleasure of looking at each and every day from our back deck. Seeing as how we spend so much time staring at it we decided that the next logical thing to do was climb it. We simul-climbed both pitches. It was a cool, mellow climb with a fun rappel off the North Side.

The following weekend Keith and I decided to head to the desert. Moab happens to be only 6 hours away so it's totally doable for a weekend trip. Our goal was to teach Melanie how to crack climb. This didn't go as well as planned as my knee does not like crack climbing at this point in it's recovery. It was still awesome to spend the weekend in the desert and get out with the doggie.

After our trip to Utah we decided to hang around Boudler the following weekend and I thought I'd see how my knee held up trail running. Me, Al and her roomate Donovan, and a girl I work with named Katie all went out for a 7ish mile run on the trails up behind our house. My knee didn't hurt and it felt great to do a longer run. That afternoon I decided to go test out road bikes as I'd been planing to buy one in the near future. Below is the bike I came home with. I LOVE her and have really been enjoying riding. I totally understand why people love their road bikes now and while I still prefer running..I'm getting really into it.

I'm horrible at letting a lot of time pass between blogs too! Ugh.

You guys went right past us on your way to Moab! I'm so excited it's only 3 hours away cause I've never been there and look forward to going!!! Of course, I'm not in Colorado right now, but next time you go you have to call!
