Life Changes
Is it really almost Halloween? Sometimes I simply can't believe how quickly time passes! The past month has been full of changes for me combined with some traveling and good times with old friends. Let's see....where do I start? Well, at the beginning of October I moved. I have a new place that I share with a guy named Tony who is a graduate student at CU and studies rivers. He's a big boater and so far he's turning out to be a great housemate. We have a 3 bedroom house with a nice big back yard for Cota and his pup Zena. We are still looking for a 3rd housemate but this process is slow. I have to admit....I kind of like just sharing the house with one other person but cheaper rent is always a good thing so a third will be good too. I am only a 5 minute drive from my old place and still have a decent view of the flatirons so I'm pretty stoked! The second weekend of October I decided to fly out to see a friend of mine that I used to work with at Crocs. She lives in Santa Monica and this was my first trip to Southern CA. I am very familiar with many of the towns in So Cal simply b/c I've always covered that territory with my job and it was pretty cool to actually visit some of those towns and even go into some of my accounts. It also just so happened to be one of my old rep's birthdays so he had a big party in Laguna Beach where just about every person I know in southern CA was there! Quite a coincedence. It was a pretty fun weekend. I was back for only 3 days before I took off once again but this time to the opposite side of the country. I flew back to NC for my 10 year high school reunion! It was soo much fun. I was slightly disappointed that more people didn't show up but we still had a decent turnout. Due to the lack of people pre-paying our reunion ended up being at a bar. I really don't know what else you could expect from Rutherford County! It was great to see a lot of people that I started kindergarten with yet hadn't seen since graduation. I was able to recongize most people and luckily Maranda never forgets a name. Before heading back to CO I spent a couple of days in Boone which is where I went to college and my sister still lives. It was peak leaf changing season and my favorite time of year in the Appalachians. I don't have my photos loaded onto my new work laptop just yet but I'll post some here shortly.
