Long time...

It's been a relatively long time since my last post. Since I started working at Crocs my free time has decreased by about 45 hours each week. While the money is nice I've already decided that I don't like working full time but alas, I must get used to it. I think that I will enjoy a full time position much more if I can find an organization in my field to work with. As of now I am doing mindless basic data entry that requires no degree. I want to use the knowledge I have and work for something I am passionate about. I am looking for jobs at non-profits, safe houses, and organizations focusing on human and women's rights, and am hopefull that I will find another job in the near future.
I spend much of my time during the week looking forward to the weekends. The weekends here in Boulder are amazing because there is always something to do nearby. I went back country skiing for the first time with Josh, Ashley, Chris, Lauren, and Keith up at Vail pass a few weekends ago and loved it. We manage to make it to Eldora at least one day each weekend so that I can practice making tele turns and this past weekend Lauren and I particiated in an all women's ice clinic up at Mt. Lincoln that was offered for FREE by Bent Gate Mountaineering. It was an awesome day! We were able to try numerous top of the line tools, got instruction on screw placement, and climbed various routes while getting tips from our guide Merrick. It was completely worth going to and I still can't believe it was free! I wonder what I'll do this weekend......
