Backyard Bouldering

Me, Lauren and Jenny Mei trying to figure out where to eat on Saturday night. Jenny had picked up a map of the downtown area and was very proud of it!

A perfect example of my crazy photo-taking abilities.

Backyard bouldering.

Cota chillin while Keith and I play around on a boulder problem. He's turning 7 this month and he's really starting to look older with the gray muzzle.

This was a great weekend. The first thing we did was picked up Jenny Mei and her mother, Margie, at the airport on Friday evening. Jenny lives here now and will begin Massage Therapy school on Thursday. I'm still adjusting to the fact that yet another one of my favorite people is now living in Boulder! On Saturday evening we enjoyed a yummy sushi dinner with Jenny, Margie and Lauren followed by a tour of the Boulderado. The Boulderado is the oldest hotel in Boulder and is decorated to represent the time period in which it was opened in 1908. It was fascinating to ride in the "oldest elevator in Colorado" complete with Bellman to manually stop the machine and to hear about the most haunted of rooms in the historic part of the hotel. Over the years many people have been murdered in the hotel and the ghost of "Honey Bee" (a wealthy former patron until 1998) still walks the halls according to our tour guide. Jenny and Margie had a great time convincing me that a murder took place there on the night we happened to take the tour and I fell for it not even remembering it was April Fool's Day.
Today (Sunday) Keith and I decided to go for a hike and check out some of the Bouldering in our back yard. We found one huge boulder with a great problem on it, unfortunately, it kicked out butts but we still had tons of fun trying and working on our pullups.
