Mount of the Holy Cross

Last week, Keith and I were discussing what we should do for the weekend when we realized we had yet to go backpacking in Colorado. I was shocked with Keith asked if I wanted to go as it's usually not on the top of his "we could do this...." list. We asked Josh and Ashley what their recommendation was and the answer was the Holy Cross Wilderness Area. After work on Friday evening we headed to the trialhead and slept comfortably in the back of the truck so we could have an early start on Saturday. We hiked up to Lake Constantine and enjoyed the rest of the day relaxing in the beautiful atmosphere. On Sunday we woke early and headed up to the Seven Sisters Lakes and then hiked over to Tuhare Lakes. It was an incredible day of hiking in a very scenic area of Colorado.

Backpacking in somewhere remote and keeping it simple and danger free, can be so nice sometimes!
