Boulder Canyon
Keith and I have spent the last couple of weekends with him teaching me how to trad climb. Last weekend, we began my lessons by heading out to Eldorado Canyon where I was able to learn about and practice placing various pieces of protection with Keith checking them behind me. This weekend we took the lessons one step further in Boulder Canyon where I lead my first trad route. We went to the Boulderado area which has fixed anchors and a handful of easier 5.5 and 5.6 routes. It was the perfect place for my first trad climb. We'll probably head back there this coming weekend for more practice. I am planning a climbing trip to Thailand with Lauren in January and am taking advantage of the great climbing in the Boulder area to help me get back into climbing shape. Lucky for me Keith is a great teacher!

Way to go!
you're going to Thailand? Too bad it's going to be in january. I am going to be in that area during the first half of December. Maybe I will leave secret notes hidden around Bangkok for you to find once you get there....
