A quick trip halfway around the world
We just finished with our Labour Board meeting. It was not an actual hearing where both parties are present but instead an information meeting where they compiled all of our evidence and got our signatures. We had to be physically present for the signatures. Mr. Ha basically has 30 days to pay us all that is owed to us unless we agree to give him an extension. If he does not pay us within the specified time then he will be arrested, fined, and we sue him for all he owes us including the tickets over and back for today's meeting. However, the Labour Board and everyone involved believes he is going to pay due to the amount of evidence against him. Mr. Ha also has a meeting with the Labour Board on Nov. 14th. If he does not show up then he is arrested immediately and the case is then turned over to the police and in order to get our money we will have to sue but again- this scenario is doubtful. We're actually feeling really good about the meeting and feel positive we're going to get paid. Mr. Ha has said we will have $1,000 each by next Tuesday and that he will pay the rest in 45 days max. It feels good to know this and to have some type of action to take if he does not. We also got power of attorney turned over to our Korean friend Ji Sue. No matter what happens at this point, we will not have to return to Korea:)
