Whirlwind

When I was in Korea time seemed to pass ever so slowly yet since I've been home it feels as if it is passing before I even have the chance to notice what day it is. I'm loving being back in Oregon and can't believe how soon we leave for Central America! We've already done so much since we've been home and have much more planned. My mom came to Oregon 6 days after our return and in time for me to be almost fully recovered from my kidney infection. We took her to 3 alpine lakes in the Cascades for some canoeing, went to Silver Creek Falls which is the second tallest waterfall in Oregon, and spent a day at the Oregon Coast. It was a great visit. After my mom left we visited Graham and Greta in Portland, and had a fun evening of mexican food and a game of Settlers. We then spent 5 wonderful days rafting the Rogue River with Keith's dad and our friend Jake. Day 2 was a lay over day and that is where Jake met up with us. He ran the 4.5 miles into camp that evening just in time for dinner and drinks. We had great weather the entire week and saw a lot of wildlife including bears, river otters, salmon, bald eagles, and a 4 point buck. Cota came with and loved camping but wasn't too sure of what to think about rafting. It was his first rafting trip and possibly his last.

Life slowed down a little this week and gave Keith and I time to unpack and get ready for the next couple of weeks. We're flying back to Korea on Sunday for our Labour Board hearing which is scheduled for the 7th. We return on Wednesday and are leaving for Montana on Thursday. We are going on a road trip with Keith's mom to visit his sister Becca. We'll be in Montana until the following Monday. It should be an awesome trip and a crazy week of traveling.

Hmmm . . . sounds like fun, but I always thought Multnomah Falls was the tallest waterfall in Oregon.
