Ilsan, South Korea

I'm back in Ilsan after a wonderful 10 days in China. It was really cool to explore a different Asian culture from what I am now accustomed to, especially since Korean culture was largely impacted by the Chinese as a result of years of occupation by China. I'd really like to return and am particularly interested in the more Western and South Western areas of the country near Tibet and Laos. Maybe next winter?!

It feels good to be back in Korea especially knowing that we'll be home so soon. We are scheduled to fly out on Saturday (Oct. 14th) however, we have not been paid by our school once again. We are going to the Labour Board tomorrow in hopes that they will help us. The school originally planned to pay us our final paycheck on Sept. 30, then Oct. 9 or 10th, and now they are saying the 13th or 14th. Given this, it is likely that we will have to move our tickets back a few days as we do not want to leave without our final paychecks. This is a bummer but we may not have a choice.
