Veggies on a stick

Today was day 4 of being in China. We're having a great time with my dad and checking out Wuxi. So far some of the most interesting things we've done included:
* Going to a Chinese wedding which included a smoke machine, dry ice, confetti, fake snow, and a Queen soundtrack.
* Eating twice at my new favorite street vendor. This is a street stall that serves eggplant, various mushrooms, potatoes, green beens, huge Anaheim peppers, cauliflower, garlic, etc. in addition to the infamous meat on a stick. You choose your personal kebabs, and they are then grilled and seasoned to perfection on a BBQ. Yummy!
* Having a formal family dinner with my father's interpreter, his wife, their daugher and granddaughter. The granddaughter happened to be the cutest kid I've ever seen in my life and loved making toasts all through the meal (it is common in China to toasts your guests at dinner what feels like every 3 minutes). Don't worry the little girl was only 5 and she was drinking orange juice.
* Finding our way to Yixing for tea pot shopping. Yixing county is known all over China and in many European countries for their amazing clay tea pots. I really enjoyed testing all the pots (I had done my research on how to find a good Yixing teapot) and came home with 2 beautiful ones of my own.

Tomorrow we are heading to Shanghai. My dad will be there with us until Friday then Keith and I will be on our own for the weekend. We will return to Korea on Monday.

My dad very excited over chicken on a stick.
